Salisbury is well served by
restaurants and pubs to suit every taste and pocket. We are
happy to recommend what we consider to be the best - the
ones locals choose. Our recommendations do vary over time as
owners or chefs change. We regularly test them to ensure
good quality and excellent value.
We do not receive any commission
or have links with any establishments and will only
recommend those we would eat in ourselves. Tell us your
tastes and preferences and we will match you up, whether
that be the humble fish & chips, the finest French style
cuisine or trying real British ale in one of the dozens of
pubs in the City.
You may wish to consider trying;
Da Vinci Italian Restaurant. Family owned and run - a refreshing change from the clinical chains in towns. Wide selection of dishes, but no pizza! Though clearly an Italian restaurant it has shades of French cuisine. Very friendly and attentive staff.Open 6 days until 10.30 pm. Great lunches at £6.95 incl soft drink. 68 Castle St. 4 minute walk from the Market Square.
The New Inn, New St. Just outside Salisbury Cathedral Close the building dates back to the late 1400s. If it is a nice warm sunny day go there and eat out in the back garden. It has the most superb view of the Cathedral tower and spire.
Hox Brasserie, 155 Fisherton St,SP2 7RP. Ever wondered what the British obsession with Indian food is all about? Well this is the place to try it. Dishes range from very mild through to very hot, but the waiters will guide you through the menu so that you make a good choice. If you’ve eaten southern States food then many of these dishes will be fine for you. We are lucky to have one of the country’s best Indian restaurants here in Salisbury so now’s the time to try. Their website is at http://www.hoxbrasserie.co.uk
